Here is how to customize the key colours to the shortcuts for Adobe Premiere.
1. Open the app, click on the keyboard icon, then on the lighting icon.
2. Change the lighting mode to freestyle, then click the double arrow at the top right. 3. Check the box that says 'Enable per profile backlighting' then select Adobe Premiere or any program that you want to modify. 4. Click the double arrow again to close the menu. Then go through and first choose the colour that you want, then click the keys you want to be that colour. Tip: you can also drag a rectangle around a bunch of keys at once. And that's it! You can do this with all your programs to have a custom keyboard for each one. We all know that its really important to back up our computers, and that we usually procrastinate this decision. Procrastinate no longer! After searching and trying out many systems, I have found one that I simple to use and extremely cheap. PS. Go back up your computer NOW if you haven't already. Our computers holds all our memories and important documentation, and if we lost it all, we would be kicking ourselves that we didn't backup sooner. Even if you don't use the same system I am, just go backup! Let's get right to the point, after searching for months, my overall favourite system is called BackBlaze. They only charge $5 a month for an unlimited amount of files, and this price will never increase! Also, if you sign up using my link, we both get a month free (I am not getting paid for this, I just really like their service) Referral Link - BackBlaze or Non-Referral Link - BackBlaze. I have been using them for a few months now, and I have no complaints. I have it set so that it doesn't take up too much of my bandwidth, and you can easily pause the backup if you temporarily need all your bandwidth. Setup is simple, go to their site, and sign up for their "Personal Backup", the "B2 Cloud Storage is a different thing, not the one you want. Then install their software, change any settings you want, but the default settings are just fine, and away you go. You can now sleep at night knowing all your important stuff will be safe from the internet goblins. I have taken on the task to find the best ice cream in Calgary, a hard job I know. So if you are like me and just want to hurry up and eat, my two top places are Village Ice Cream, and Uzu Taiyaki.
During my week long trip to the Okanagan in British Columbia, I of course had to stop into the many wineries. In this post I will give a quick and simple run down of each of the ones I visited on this trip. Wineries - in no particular order:
1. Planet Bee Honey Farm and Honeymoon Meadery I guess this one isn't so much a winery, they make wine out of honey which is called mead. This place was so much fun to visit. Outside, they have a bunch of working beehives, and inside, you can get a close up view of the insides of one of those beehives and if you look closely enough, you can find the queen bee. The staff there are very knowledgeable and will give you many fun facts about the bees. Also inside, is a tasting bar where they let you taste every one of the different meads that they sell. You can also taste different honey flavours that they make, and there are plenty of different honey items to purchase. 2. Turtle Mountain Vineyards We had never heard of this winery, and decided to stop by. We soon realized why we hadn't heard of it - it was brand new! It had the grapes and the main building setup, all that is left is the interior of the tasting room. It looked beautiful, and we will be visiting next year when it finally opens. 3. Intrigue Wines Great llittle winery. They were doing some renos to the outside when we visited. Inside there were lots of people trying wines, they were effecient in getting through the tastings. They also have a little picnic area outside if you wanted to buy some cheese and crackers. 4. Arrowleaf Cellars These guys might have the best view out of all the wineries. They let you try 4 wines out of their line up, so choose wisely or share with a friend and try 8. They also have a small bistro and seating area if you wanted to stop for a snack. 5. Ex Nihilo Vineyards These guys have the straightest grape vines that I have ever seen. They have put a lot of hard work into this place. They even have a helicopter pad! Just outside the building they have a big bistro area, and inside there is a tasting room, but if you walk further inside you can see their keg room as well as many pieces of artwork on display. 6. Gray Monk Estate Winery These guys have a big building. When you walk inside, you will see their tasting bar within their big store area. Here you get to taste 5 wines out of their line up. If you venture downstairs two floors, you can view through a glass window into their lab where you may see people working. Outside around the building there are many pretty things to look at including a fountain. 7. 50th Parallel Estate This winery has big renovation plans. Currently they have a small tasting area inside a industrial looking building where they keep all their wine making equipment. Next year they plan on adding a bistro and extending the tasting area. Very friendly staff. 8. Celista Estate Winery This is a smaller winery owned by a husband and wife, they don't sell to stores, so stock up while you are there if there is a wine you like. They let you try their whole line up, and have a picnic area outside where you can buy some local cheese and crackers. 9. Recline Ridge Vineyards & Winery Ltd. This winery also has a seating area outside where you can sip on some wine. Inside they have a long tasting bar, and they go through their whole line up. They have some wine related knick-knacks inside that you can purchase. 10. Granite Creek Estate Wines Part of this winery burnt down a few years back, so we drove past to see if it was open, but unfortunately it isn't just yet. 11. Sunnybrae Vineyards & Winery This winery is near some great hikes, so stop in after for a cold glass of white wine. They only let you taste 3 of their wines, so choose carefully. They have a nice seating area outside with a nice view, where you can buy snacks and wine by the glass. 12. Ovino Winery The tasting room for these guys might be hard to spot at first, but it is the last building in their farm area. Once here, you can try all their wines, as well they sell jellies and even give you a sample of one. We ended up getting the habanero jelly, so delicious. 13. Larch Hills Winery Cute winery at the top of a windy road. They have a small tasting area where you can try all their wines. They have cheaper prices compared to others in the area, and if you buy a case you get a free bottle. 14. Marionette Winery This is new winery with baby grape vines, so they bring in grapes from the area to make their wines until they get established. They have done a nice job decorating their small tasting room. 15. Lavita Estate Winery This winery has beautiful views from their property. The owner was great and chatted to us for a while answering all of our questions. You can also see some of their equipment within the tasting area. 16. Edge of the Earth Vineyards The owner of this winery is a great person to chat to. He didn't mind showing us all of his equipment that he uses. You should check out his grape crusher, its extremely old and impressive. He also likes to experiment with grapes, and makes white wines out of red grapes. Great place to try something new. I can't wait to go back to all these wineries next year! Have you been to any of these ones that I mentioned, what did you think of them? |
